1ST EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING SUMMIT/newsunion newsmembers

The first Experiential Learning Summit of Turkey was realized on 11 February 2017 in Istanbul.

DeM International member organizations from Turkey, Greece and Estonia conducted a long term EU project under the frame of EU IPA Civil Society Dialogue Program. The Experiential Learning Development Project aimed to develop educational capacities of local teachers and youth workers on experiential learning methodology which is to be localized by using the technics of Paulo Freire. At the end of the project a summit was organized in order to share the results of the project.

The summit was held on 11 February 2017 in Istanbul with participation of 150 representatives from NGO’s, Schools, Public Bodies, Private Companies.

Teleconference with David KOLB

David A. KOLB, founder of experiential learning theory, connected to the conference through Skpye and shared his recent updates in Learning Styles Inventory and Educator Role Profiles. Also Mr. KOLB shared his thoughts about Freire’s Pedagogy of the Oppressed and expressed his will to contribute to the future works of DeM International on experiential learning.
